PICTURE

Following the ramp up of academic fees for the 2022/2023 academic year, the student body expressed their dissatisfaction with the fees. The dean of some faculties, all six provosts of each college, the student representative council together with the presidents of the various colleges met at the directorate of students' affair's conference room chaired by the director of students' affair to negotiate the ramp up of school fees. Presentations and submissions were made by both management members and student leaders during a 4-hour meeting that was adjourned.

The discussion continued at various colleges with college presidents presenting their case to their provosts. We are pleased to announce that a fee reduction of 20% has been agreed upon. The student representative council and college executives have bravely and selflessly given up 15% of their student representative council and college dues in order to safeguard and promote the interests of students. We thank all students and stakeholders for holding the line during these negotiations.
