MEDIA CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM

As promised in her manifesto in running up to the S.R.C general election, the first ever media capacity program was organized by the General secretary stating empathically of delivering the promise. This program was on the theme “student’s journalism: professionalism and ethics of the job” and was mainly aimed towards helping the media houses with sensitization and information exchange.

The program had six intellectual’s professionals who have been in this profession for years gaining much experience in their specialized zone. These speakers gave much excellent and enjoyable presentation about student journalism and the profession at large.

Mr. Luther Kwame Adinkra who happens to be one of the renowned and famous journalist in the country and currently working at Pure FM started the program and presented on the theme  “Journalistic Professionalism“. He elaborated on the definition of who a journalist is, qualities of a good journalist. Since every profession has its own associated problem, He explained the problems or obstacles current journalist and the media at large faces. He further gave a roadmap on how to become a good student leader. As part of his in-depth or deep presentation on the program, he mentioned on the need to have a social network on campus since it has become relevant on the society to know people which will positively help us in the long run after completion of school.  Mr. Adinkra finally ended his presentation on the of the need to fear God which summarize our intimate respect to the creator.
