The Electoral Commission of the SRC is an independent body established by the SRC Constitution for the purpose of conducting and supervising all SRC elections, referenda and opinion polls.

The Commission headed by the Electoral Commissioner also has the duty of educating all students on the electoral process and it's purpose. The ultimate aim of the Commision is to sustain fairness and transparency in students elections in order to promote effective gorvenance. The Commission thrives on the principles of fairness, transparency and integrity
