In a bid to empower and uplift the women leaders of the this institution, the SRC Women’s Commissioner organized its inaugural event, WOCOM CONNECT, on January 3rd, 2023. This event, held at the DOSA conference room, marked a significant milestone for the commission and aimed to foster authentic sisterhood, inspire, and empower female leaders across various colleges, faculties, and departments with a lineup of esteemed guest speakers.

Fostering Authentic Sisterhood:

The event was designed to bring together women leaders from diverse backgrounds within KNUST. The event served as a platform for these leaders to connect, share experiences, and build lasting bonds of sisterhood. By creating a supportive community, the SRC Women’s Commission aimed to help women leaders navigate the challenges they face in their roles and personal lives.

Empowering Future Women Leaders:

One of the primary objectives of the the event was to inspire and empower current and aspiring Women Commissioners and female leaders. The event featured a lineup of accomplished guest speakers who shared their insights, experiences, and strategies for success.
